Just a note to remind you that we're in the final stages of judging the 21 stories we've received for the Starfleet Star Trek Short Story Writer's Contest.

A great big THANK YOU to the 21 authors who submitted their stories. We received some really nice ones and all were a pleasure to read.

Starting on July 1, I'll review all of the responses and will choose those which had the most "Good" ratings. If we have a tie for five of the best-of-the-best "Good" stories, they will undergo further scrutiny.

The top five stories will be sent to Star Trek author, R.A. DeCandido for final ranking.

Winners will be announced in the CQ, the Starfleet Discussion Lists and via other online Starfleet areas such as the Starfleet WebSite, Twitter, FaceBook, etc.

Prizes will be awarded to the winners and their stories will be published in the Communiqué. Depending on length of the stories and available CQ space, they may need to be published in several issues.

Thanks again, to everyone who submitted stories, and another big THANK YOU to the judges who have been sending their reviews! I'm enjoying reading the reviews as much as I enjoyed reading the stories!
