Pending Service Outages on Tuesday July 08 2008 - 20:50:23
*Please cross-post as appropriate*

Greetings,

Do to some ongoing performance issues with the server many of our SQL databased reside on, our provider and I would like to migrate these databases to another server in their datacenter. In addition we have also requested the website side (frontend) of the main membership database and its associated development and test databases be moved to another server as well. These moves will effect to some degree the majority of SFI's web resources. This will however, not effect any of our e-mail resources.

I have not been given a specific timeline yet for the entire process, however it could begin at any time. Therefore, you can expect periodical outages of various SFI websites and the main membership database as our provider conducts these moves. At each stage after they complete a piece of the move we have to update code on our side to reflect the changes, so please be patience with us as this is a complex process.

Additional news will be posted as it comes available.
